Portals in Ponyville #1 Part 2

Twilight started walking home by herself. When Rainbow Dash saw her, she flew over.

"What's up, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Weren't you chasing that weird rat thing?"

"Yeah," Twilight replied. "But he... Ran off."

"Well, why don't we go find it?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I can help you."

"No, it's alright," Twilight said. "I don't think he wants to be bothered."

"C'mon, Twilight!" Rainbow Dash insisted. "That thing has horrific LIGHTNING powers. It could a threat to Equestria!"

"Maybe, but-" Twilight began.

"If you're not gonna go after it, I will," Rainbow Dash interrupted.

Rainbow Dash flew off. Twilight turned around and when she didn't see Rainbow Dash, she started flying after her.

"Rainbow Dash, wait!" Twilight said when she finally caught up to her friend. "You REALLY don't have to do this!"

"Why? If it's a magical monster, we have to stop it," Rainbow Dash said. She looked down at the ground. "There he is! C'mon!"

"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight shouted.

Rainbow Dash flew down towards the ground. Twilight followed. Rainbow Dash landed in front of Pikachu, startling him.

"Found you!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "You got no where to run!"

Pikachu bared his teeth.

"Rainbow Dash, DON'T bother him!" Twilight ordered.

"What?! YOU?!" Pikachu asked. "What are you doing here?! I don't need your help!"

"That thing can TALK?!" Rainbow Dash asked. "Whatever. You can't run AND you can't hide! If you even TRY I WILL find you!"

"Rainbow!" Twilight scolded.

"Wanna bet?" Pikachu asked Rainbow Dash.

Suddenly, Pikachu started running. Rainbow Dash flew after him, catching up to him in a mere few seconds. As Pikachu ran, his body became engulfed in lightning. Rainbow Dash was surprised, especially when she realized Pikachu was running faster.

"You can't run forever!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"And YOU can't FLY forever!" Pikachu shouted back.

"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight called.

Rainbow Dash turned to look at Twilight. When she looked back for Pikachu, he was gone.

"Oh, c'mon, Twilight!" Rainbow Dash scolded. "He got away!"

"That's MY fault?" Twilight asked.

"Probably," Rainbow Dash said.

"I think we should leave him alone," Twilight said. "He told me he get home by himself."

"Well, OBVIOUSLY he's lying," Rainbow Dash suggested.

"Maybe... But maybe we could trust him," Twilight said.

"You can, but I WON'T," Rainbow Dash said right before she flew off.

Twilight sighed. "Rainbow Dash. Why are you SO impossible?"

Twilight flew after Rainbow Dash. Eventually, she caught up.

"Rainbow Dash-" Twilight began.

"It's no use, Twilight, he's gone," Rainbow Dash said.

"Gone?!" Twilight asked.

Rainbow Dash nodded.

"Who's gone?" came a voice.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash turned around to see Discord sitting on a nearby cloud.

"Discord?!" Rainbow Dash asked. "What are you-"

"Pikachu's gone!" Twilight interrupted.

Discord gave Twilight a confused look.

Twilight sighed. "Small, yellow fur, red cheeks, able to summon lightning bolts on a whim," she described.

"Oh, THAT," Discord said. "I saw him. For a second."

"You did?" Twilight asked.

"Wait. For a second?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Yep," Discord replied. "One second, I see him running down the street, covered in lightning. The next, he's gone. But, I didn't do anything, I swear! I've done some crazy things, but trying to mess with a rat that's exuding electricity is not one of them!"

"Sure," Rainbow Dash said in an unconvinced manner.

"Well, wherever he is, we have to find him," Twilight said. "I HAVE to get him home. I HAVE to fix the problem I started."
